My kids love airplanes! We volunteer to pick up and drop off all of the visitors that come in from out of town because we get to go to the airport and see the airplanes (check out the best spots to see airplanes in southwest Florida). So, it’s no surprise that we are excited about the Florida International Air Show in Punta Gorda.
The Florida International Air Show will be at the Punta Gorda Airport October 13-15th, 2017. Gates will open at 4PM on Friday and performances are 5-9 PM. On Saturday and Sunday the gates open at 10AM and the performances are from 12-4PM.
There will be several talented performers you will not want to miss. It’s going to be so neat! My kids are stoked!
We have never been to an air show before so I was feeling unsure of what to expect and what to bring. I did some research and here are some helpful tips for parents bringing kids to the Air Show.
What to bring to the Florida International Air Show:
~ Chairs (if you don’t have the famous “soccer mom chairs,” as we call them in our house, you can always rent them at the show. However, to save money, I suggest bringing your own chairs to the event.
~ A Camera
~ Earplugs or silencing ear muffs
What not to bring to the Florida International Air Show:
~ Large Umbrellas

The Punta Gorda Airport is located at 28000 Airport Road in Punta Gorda. It’s going to be a lot of fun so save the date and buy your tickets ahead of time to save the “at the door” fee! Again, this event will take place October 13-15th.
