It’s almost V-Day and it is so much fun to celebrate this holiday when you are…well, any age really. This year we made our own special valentines to send to our family and friends from the kids.
In case you didn’t know, our Mom Explores network started an every other week book club! This week is the book “The Day it Rained Hearts” by Felicia Bond.
This is an adorable book about how each valentine is special in it’s own way. And what better way to show how unique valentines can be than by using unique footprints. Each and every footprint is unique…just like Cornelia Agusta’s valentines in this story.
So, this is what we did….
I got some pink, purple and red paint and used a paintbrush to paint it on my kiddo’s feet. I have an eight month old so I had to have help with his because he was NOT into this project. I painted and stuck their little feet down on white paper with the heels together so it made a heart shape.
Then I cut out a heart around it to exemplify that these footprints were making a heart shape. Then I used colorful scrapbook paper to make a slightly bigger heart shape to paste behind it and give it a border.
And they come out super cute like this…
This is a super easy and fun and easy craft! And the grandparents will LOVE getting this!
