We finally visited the Ringling Museum in Sarasota and had such fun! It’s huge! There is so much to do there for kids of all ages (and adults!). There are several exhibits to check out at Ringling, but on Mondays the art museum and all of the grounds are free! And I LOVE free! So we went on a Monday and walked around and checked it out. It was a blast!
First we went over to the art museum and on the way stopped in this little garden area. If you bring your lunch it is a great place to have a little picnic. Here are a few pictures of the garden area…
We stopped at the reflection pond right next to the art museum and saw turtles and koi fish. The kids loved it.
Next we went into the art museum. The paintings were gorgeous!! It was so fun to walk around and point things out to the kids. Definitely a fun “field trip” idea for the kids.
After that we went over to the Ringling Playground area. This was one of the coolest playgrounds I have ever been to. They made it look like a big tree house. One was tall for the bigger kids and the other one was smaller for younger kids. So cute!
They also had the coolest swings EVER!
We also walked over by the Ringling Mansion. You can pay to go in and tour it but we just walked around the outside. It is BEAUTIFUL. I would love to live there- ha!
We had a great day! I highly suggest taking the kids and checking it out. Get more information about The Ringling Museum and Park here. Oh, and thanks to my friend, Heather, who took these amazing pictures. Isn’t she awesome?!
