There are a lot of fun, family friendly parades to enjoy at each park! Sometimes, though, it can get busy and a little chaotic. So here are 5 tips to help you plan for Disney parades….
- Pick your spots early
This is sort of a given with the crowds, but seriously, if you want a good (shaded) spot, you have to get there early. We pick our spots 45 minutes early sometimes. It seems like a long time to wait, but it’s a nice resting time and my husband usually grabs ice cream for all of us to enjoy while we wait.
If you are attending a daytime parade you need to figure out where the shaded spots are because it gets hot QUICK.
- Close to the entrance
If you are attending an evening or night time parade and plan to leave right after the parade is over you need to pick a spot as close to the entrance of the park as possible. We have been stuck in a HUGE crowd of people all trying to go the same direction. It can be crazy.
- Have your kids standing in the front
This sounds kind of silly, but when my daughter was standing and the characters that were walking in between the floats interacted more with her. One even came over and talked to her…it was SO CUTE! Check it out…
Parades is a great break time for you and your family. Sit and rest and snack before you get back on your feet for some more fun!
The Disney parades are so much fun. We especially love the electrical parade that happens at Magic Kingdom in the evening. If you want to see it you have to hurry because it’s last debut is on Oct. 9th. Here are a few pictures of our experiencing watching the amazing electrical parade….
